Standardized Sampling and Precision Testing Specifications
Accurate: DNA molecular markers, accuracy over 99%, clear distinction between male and female.
Safe: Only a small amount of fin tissue or scales required, minimally invasive sampling, does not harm the koi or affect growth.
Efficient: Fast results, a single set of equipment can theoretically test around 1,000 fish per day.
Widely applicable: Ideal for seedling screening, broodstock management, and breeding pairing; easy to operate.
One-stop solution: Complete solution including testing equipment, reagents, and consumables.
Collection process:
Remove one scale from a location that does not affect appearance.
Note:
1. Prepare N tweezers for removing scales; use one tweezer per fish, rinse all together before reuse. Failure to clean will cause cross-contamination between samples.
2. Prepare 8-strip tubes or centrifuge tubes and a MARKER pen in advance.
3. Do not take large scales; the best size is 3-4 mm wide. Place them in a 0.2 mL 8-strip tube. (Purchase 0.2 mL 8-strip tubes yourself; the 8-strip tube diameter is for 5 mL, too large scales won't fit) Or purchase 1.5 mL centrifuge tubes and place the scales inside.
4. Prepare a MARKER pen in advance to label samples.
Shipping sample precautions:
Except for normal shipping in winter, in other seasons, please ship with ice packs and use SF Express or Deppon Express. The ice packs contain water-absorbent granules; before use, inject water into the ice packs, freeze them in the refrigerator overnight, then place the samples and ice packs together in a foam box, seal well, and ship.
Notify us immediately after shipping; we will confirm upon receipt.
If testing volume is large, you may also consider purchasing the complete set of testing equipment + reagents; we provide full technical support!
